Growing is our natural stage, when we arrive to this world in the form of a seed the process start and with it the journey, many people think growing older is something they can avoid, however there is no place where you can hide from growing, it is unstoppable. Some people are willing to pay high prices in order to keep looking young, they hit the gym every day for their daily routine, medicine is on their trays and also many other kind of resources, the process may slow, however there is not a youth fountain founded yet that can eliminate the process without the interventions of you as the main role played.

We have three important components in this beautiful process called life, body, soul (spirit), and mind. According to all the spiritual teachers the soul never change or deteriores, Doctor. Chopra in one of his books “Life after death” explains that death is merely a stopover in the eternal journey of the soul, as it searches for self-realization. However is the body who goes through all the changes and processes and the mind plays a good role on it.

The body goes through changes all the time, it take almost a full year to have 98% of your body totally replaced, you make a new skin every month, new liver every six weeks, new skeleton every three months, and new DNA every six weeks. Mind go together with the body, the body is always an activity that react with everything you have in mind.

What you have in mind builds your reality, ask yourself these questions, is my actual reality what I really want, am I satisfied with the way I am growing? take some time to answer, if you think there is room for improvement or is time to change, lets take a deep look in some advice on how to grow with grace, joy and love.

Make your physical well being your priority
  • STOP, make an inventory of your life, throw anything that is not useful any more, and this include toxic relationships.
  • Love without holding back. (Dr. Wayne), a healthy body, mind and soul can be recognize easily in the way the body manifest what is inside, forgiveness makes you strong.
  • Always remember that you are the co-creator of your life, you can contribute to be healthy or no and many of that has do be with your thoughts. You can always choose again to create a better result.
  • Socialice, social interaction creates bonds and those bonds help you to keep your body and mind healthy and active.
  • Exercise, walk, do yoga, join a sport group, move, because when you move your brain keeps active and your cortical brain develop more, Let’s dance.
  • Be present. is very important; the past is not under your control any more, no even the future, here and now is your momento.
  • Eat healthy, try to use all the colours of the rainbow in your dishes, avoid to eat in a rush and with negative emotions in the table.

  • Exercise your mind, read, learn something new, challenge yourself with a new project.
  • Meditate, sleep well, do breathing exercises.
  • Spend time with children and young people, there is lot to learn from them and it is a free resource to update some of your skills
  • Have fun in all the activities that you do, having fun help you to release dopamine and serotonin, two types of neurotransmitters in the brain. Both of these chemicals are heavily associated with happiness.
  • Try to avoid stressful moments, stress releases cortisol and when the levels are too high for too long, this hormone can hurt.
  • Create gratitude’s journal, According to UCLA’s Mindfulness Awareness Research Center, regularly expressing gratitude (the quality of being thankful and readiness to show appreciation) literally changes the molecular structure of the brain, keeps the gray matter functioning, and makes us healthier and happier.
  • Laugh and the world laughs with you. Find a way to laugh about your own situations and watch your stress begin to fade away. Even if it feels forced at first, practice laughing. It does your body good.
